It's been five years since the closing of the Hellmouth and the destruction of Sunnydale. During the battle against The First, Willow wove an amazingly powerful spell using both the power of the Scythe and her nearly unlimited magical reserves. This spell activated every potential slayer on Earth. Buffy and the scoobies have set out to gather and organize as many of these slayers as possible.

In Los Angeles, Angel had put a plan into motion to end the current plans of the Senior Partners and their evil law firm Wolfram & Hart. To punish Angel and his ilk the Senior Partners rained down destruction upon Angel. Summoning every demon they controlled in Los Angeles to destroy him forever. Unfortunately for the Senior Partners Angel survived that battle but it was not without sacrifice. Gunn, long time friend and ally to angel was lost. Wesley, watcher turned demon hunter turned friend to Angel, also lost his life that day. Out of Team Angel only three people remain: Illyria, an immensely powerful pure blood 'Old One' trapped in the human body of Winifred Burkle, Spike, a vampire with a soul and an old friend to Angel and Angel himself. Buffy and the slayers have taken Angel in and his team has integrated into their group to help continue the fight for good.

Recently, there have been whispers of a new evil rising. A new Hellmouth opening. All mystical signs pointed to Chicago, Illinois, something sinister, ancient and evil was coming. It seems to be less than a coincidence, Wolfram & Hart recently expanded their branch in Chicago. Their agents have begun seeding chaos and despair into the streets of Chicago. Buffy selected a group of newly manifested Slayers and sent them to deal with the increase in demonic activity and to secure the Hellmouth before someone with less than pure intentions was able to. The group quickly moved into their new diggs, an old hotel in the middle of town and began to work out their mission. The only question was... in a city this large, how would they keep everyone safe?

This is where our story begins! A nameless evil is rising and this new Hellmouth seems to be the focal point. How will you fit into our story? Will you help Wolfram & Hart in their evil plans? Will you venture to the Hellmouth and heed the call of this great evil? Will you join the slayers and help save Chicago from itself? Will you do nothing and let fate unwind as it was destined?
