Prologue
10,000 BC. Chimera Universe. The Ice Age and the beginning of the human age. It has been the same world and same evolution as our universe since life began, but something changes the course of time in this universe therefore differing it from ours. Something that people only dream of in ours. This difference is an advanced evolution.
This evolution began with less than ten people. These adapted to their environments differently. Instead, they evolved a lot like animals and taking adaptations of animals. Having these new features, abilities, gifts helped them survive in the world. This race continually evolved but were unknown to the other side of the human race.
Over the centuries these empowered people learnt of their power. Some never bothered with their power, not caring of their ability. Others used their power for good, but made sure their powers were never made public. If the world were to know about them, they feared about being hunted or outcast. There was a secret society to protect these people. This society died out and all was forgotten, but the evolution didn't stop.
Volume 1: Discoveries
Another day, another optimistic end of the week. Friday was Alec's favorite day of the week. He liked the week anyway but Friday was even better. He clicked his pen and clipped it to his shirt pocket. He smiled as he looked at the perfect design he had just finished. He had enjoyed designing it. He spun his chair and jumped from his desk. He grabbed his jacket and bag with a spring in his step and strode out the door.
It was dark in the car park. It was past 11 pm. But this night was different for Alec. He could see better. His vision was more, acute. It was unsettling. He shrugged it off. He looked around. He thought he could sense someone there. He could hear them, but this wasn't normal. His smile faded slightly. He saw a man walking towards him with his hand in his coat. Alec grinned. His martial arts training would be enough to protect himself.
Taking out his keys, Alec continued to unlock his car whilst listening on his attacker approach. He was right behind him, but even when he was drawing breath to utter his blackmail, Alec turned with lightning agility, ducked, rolled around him and two footed kicked him into the car door knocking him out cold. This was weird. Too weird. He shouldn't be that fast to react, no human should. He looked at his hands. Small claws were withdrawing into his fingers. He gasped.
This was the time Alec Felix discovered he wasn't a normal human. There are many others like him. Alec and many others are Chimeras, and have so much power. Will they keep it quiet or exploit it? You decide.
